- We believe in a Levels based system with reward for effort. These offer clients clear guidelines and expectations to follow and everyone has an even learning process with no gaps in their learning. This system also allows for progressive evergreen learning.
- We boast 2 dressage arenas, jumps arena, round yard and open cross country course.
- Fully Insured with Affinity Equine. Certificate of Currency can be provided for viewing.

Owner & Head Instructor - Mildura Horse Riding School
Megan Jackmann
Megan has 26 years horse riding experience, 11 years ex racehorse re-training, 13 years competition experience from preliminary to novice, training to elementary.
She has vast experience in breaking in wild horses and young horses.
Megan has competed in showjumping and eventing, where she has won 🏆 her grade at her very first event. Her skills can have her jumping 1m. Megan also has previous western riding experience.
Megan has been a champion in many competitions. Megan won the Mildura Show 2019 Outstanding Lady Equestrienne Trophy.
Megan's horse riding teaching philosophy has a strong posture rider focus, working with the student in a classical way on a lunge, until they develop the correct independent seat.
The first few lessons with the student controlling the horse (by holding the reins) as in line with all previous training, has a safety focus first. Riders commence at Rainbow Level where they must attain certain skills to receive their Ribbon rewards. There are 5 levels to attain, with 2 sections per Level to complete.
This allows all riders to have a fair and even learning schedule. They learn thoroughly and also get rewarded along their journey.
Lessons can be booked weekly dependent on availability.

Quiet Educated School Masters
Mildura's Horse Riding School ponies/horses are suitable & quiet for children and adults of all ages. Megan carefully selects the appropriate ride for her students.
We provide ponies from 8h all way to 17.1h. Our horses can be ridden by experienced riders as well as first time beginners.
We have horses suited for up to 90kg.
Special Needs Children & Adults Welcome
Equine therapy & horse riding is well documented to provide a range of physical & emotional benefits to all children & adults. It is also thoroughly documented to greatly assist additional needs children/adults in similar ways. Core strength & calming of moods are just two of the many benefits riders find through spending time with & riding horses.
- Owner/Instructor, Megan Jackmann, is incredibly patient & understanding of children & adults with additional or special needs.
- Megan has the horses and experience to teach any rider from autism, deafness, epilepsy, intellectual disability and more.
- Megan's horses & ponies are quiet enough to tolerate loud & unpredictable children or adults.
- Megan's expertise & range of horses/ponies also means she has options for her additional needs riders.
- NDIS participants are welcome to book in and have their invoice paid by their plan manager. Please note, invoices are to be paid prior to the lesson.
